Phoenix House has served communities in California since 1979, helping thousands of individuals each year to overcome the problems associated with drug and alcohol abuse and lead healthy, productive and rewarding lives. Some 1,200 adults and teenagers receive treatment each day through more than 18 Phoenix House programs throughout California. While treating each client with respect and compassion, and addressing their individual needs, our professional, well-trained staff offers over a million days of service every year.

Phoenix House Programs in Los Angeles County

Serving adolescents and adults in Los Angeles County since 1986, Phoenix House offers substance abuse services across the continuum of care – prevention, intervention, treatment, and continuing care through recovery management collaboration with other agencies and partners in the community. Our programs in Los Angeles County represent this full spectrum, making individual service selection readily accessible for clients. Phoenix House has developed and sustained specialized programs for different drug-troubled clients (including adolescents, the homeless, women with children, and youth in foster care), as well as programs that rebuild families torn apart by substance abuse and other destructive factors.

Phoenix House adjusts its services to the diverse population of clients, including program activities that are culturally and linguistically competent and that address the participant’s cultural, age, gender and sexual orientation needs. The agency integrates trauma-informed culture, practices and environment and strength-based, gender-responsive services addressing different needs of men and women who receive services.
