Description:

Our Family Recovery Center (FRC) serves pregnant and parenting women and their children through the age of 10. Our clients are provided services regardless of age, ethnicity or economic status. The FRC residential program begins by providing assistance with basic needs, such as food, shelter, clothing and personal supplies. There are four major components of our FRC treatment program: Residential Treatment; Day Treatment; Outpatient Treatment; and our Child Development Center.

Family Recovery Center – Residential

The FRC is licensed by the State of California to provide residential treatment for up to 90 women and their children. We provide intensive residential treatment that is individualized, highly structured and client centered. Our residential treatment includes process and education groups with an emphasis on abstinence from drugs and alcohol and improved parenting skills.

Family Recovery Center – Day Treatment

Our Day Treatment at FRC allows women who are living in off-site, safe environments to participate in daily treatment at the facility. Specific services include process and education groups with an emphasis on abstinence from drugs and alcohol and improved parenting skills.

Family Recovery Center – Outpatient Treatment
Our FRC outpatient treatment is offered to both men and women, the program includes: Process groups, substance education, anger management, recovery maintenance, family issues and life skills. Our groups are offered in the day and evenings to best serve the needs of the program's participants.

Family Recovery Center – Transitional Services

Our FRC program provides transitional services for women who have successfully completed the treatment program and are working or enrolled in an educational or training program. Goals for transitional services are: residential stability, increased ability to earn income and increased self-determination. Services include a vocational/educational and job development program that assists recovering women, as they become self-sufficient, productive members of their community. Women are assisted in completing a GED or obtaining a high school diploma and/or enrolled in job training programs such as Food Handling Permit courses and our Real Estate Management training program. Participants have the opportunity to live in transitional housing adjacent to the Family Recovery Center and continue to receive aftercare services.

Family Recovery Center – Child Development Center

Infants through preschool age children are eligible for enrollment in the FRC Child Development Center. The CDC is a licensed therapeutic day care program, serving high-risk children in North San Diego County. This high quality program focuses on the whole child including physical, cognitive, social and emotional development, and serves 35 infants and pre-school aged children. School age children of our residents and other clients are enrolled in community public schools.

In addition, the Family Recovery Center provides ancillary services that
can be central to a woman's ability to maintain sobriety and get and keep employment. These services include: benefit advocacy, transportation, health care, nutritional counseling, and coordination with foster care providers, referral services, appropriate clothing and childcare.
