Mid-Valley Recovery Services - Omni Center
Mid Valley Recovery Services is a non-profit agency dedicated to assisting individuals, families and their communities in their efforts to understand and overcome alcohol and other drug problems.

We believe recovery from addiction occurs primarily outside of professional treatment programs, and most commonly through a combination of efforts that includes participation in 12-step fellowships. Our programs are designed to help our clients establish abstinence from alcohol and other drug use, and to equip them with the resources they need to pursue long term recovery in the community. We try to match our programming to the unique, individual needs of the people we serve, in the most efficient way possible.

Our family-oriented outpatient programs provide information, counseling and follow-up services for persons who need professional support to supplement their self-help efforts. We reserve our residential programming for persons who are unable to maintain abstinence on an outpatient basis, or who face serious challenges to their recovery and well-being without full-time structure and support. We also provide un-programmed Suppportive Housing for persons in the early stages of recovery, and Temporary Housing for persons seeking a permanent residence while receiving outpatient services.

Residential Recovery for Men

Our residential recovery program in El Monte provides a structured living environment in an atmosphere of recovery. Each day begins with morning meditation and reflection. Clients attend daily groups, participate in recreational and social activities, and receive individual counseling. In the evening, clients may attend on-site or outside 12-step meetings (nightly 12-step fellowship meetings are held at the Amstone Hall, just a step away from the Center). The meetings operate independently of the program and anyone is welcome.

The last phase of the program emphasizes job training and employment. Length of stay in residential recovery is based on each individual's unique circumstances, and may extend for a period of months.

Facilities include a play area for residents who have visits with their children, and are adjacent to temporary and supportive housing services for persons who have completed a residential program and are attending outpatient care.
