Program Description

NVFS utilizes the family systems and wraparound approach. Dependent upon the funding source, and to address the diverse needs of each family, we provide clinic, school or community-based services. Clinic-based services are provided to AB2726, SED Healthy Families and those families who participate in shared cost or fees which are based upon their income. School and community-based services are provided to clients who meet the eligibility requirements and are funded through Medi-Cal or the Mental Health Services Act. NVFS is dual diagnosis capable and culturally sensitive to the community in which it serves, with over 50% of staff being bi-lingual and bi-cultural. NVFS utilizes the team approach, following the Children's Mental Health Service System of Care Philosophy and Principles (CSOC) guidelines, emphasizes a strength-based collaboration among family, therapist, social services, school, community, and medical services in the assessment, planning, and delivery of all services.
