Semi-Supervised Living Project
Semi-Supervised Living Project (SSLP) is a short-term transitional housing program located in the downtown area of San Diego. Clients living at SSLP are all adults who were often homeless at the time of admission, without any resources and have a mental illness. Participants may self-refer, or can be referred by other community agencies. An ability to live independently and actively participate in programming at Areta Crowell Center (see description) is essential to the SSLP curriculum.

Care Coordinators at Areta Crowell Center work collaboratively with both clients and community resources to create a network of support that helps clients reach their individual rehabilitation goals. Individual and group treatment, in addition to evaluations for medication, is offered and may be continued after a client moves out of SSLP. The seamless transition from transitional housing to outpatient services at Areta Crowell Center is thought to increase long term support, create a sense of connection to a peer community, help eliminate gaps in treatment and reduce potential for and severity of relapse.

For additional information about SSLP or to make a referral please contact The Areta Crowell Center at 619-233-7757.
